Falk is Associate Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. Falk qualified as a medical doctor from the University of Cologne, Germany and subsequently worked in General Medicine and Cardiology at the Royal London Hospital and Oxford Radcliffe University Hospitals, United Kingdom. He completed a doctorate degree at the University of Cologne and a Master’s degree in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Falk’s work focusses on the prevention of non-communicable diseases, with a particular emphasis on physical activity and movement behaviours among children and adults, as well as the application of digital technologies in public health research.

Falk Mueller-Riemenschneider, MBBS, MSc, MD

Dr Falk Mueller-Riemenschneider is a physician by training and has worked in public health for more than 15 years, in the UK, Germany and since 2012 in Singapore. Since joining the School of Public Health, behavioural research with a focus on health promotion and the prevention of non-communicable diseases has become his priority. He is passionate about physical activity and he has led various projects with a focus on movement behaviours in children, adolescents and adults. Ultimately, he aims to improve population health by promoting activity and reducing sedentary behaviour in different populations and by using diverse approaches.

Sophie Bozhi Chen, MPH, PhD
Postdoctoral fellow, Saw Swee Hock School of Public health, National University of Singapore

Having received her PhD in Public Health from the National University of Singapore in 2020, Dr Chen’s research focuses on understanding and promoting healthy movement behaviours (i.e., sleep, sedentary behaviour, physical activity). Currently, she is working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Saw Swee Hock School of Public health, National University of Singapore, where her research examines the predictors of movement behaviours and their health impacts in children and adolescents.
