Meet our Members – Gabriela Fernanda De Roia

To highlight AHKGA members, we will be posting a “Meet our Members” segment to the AHKGA website to learn more about the AHKGA community. In this post, we are highlighting Gabriela Fernanda De Roia, the supervisor for the Argentinian Report Card team!

Gabriela has her Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Exercise and Human Movement from the University of Verona, Italy and is affiliated with the Universidad de Flores, Argentina. Gabriela is the director of the Physical Activity Research Lab at the University of Flores Buenos Aires, Argentina, coordinating research projects, training courses and communitarian activities. She is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport at the same University where she trains students in graduate and post-graduate physical activity and health courses. Additionally, Gabriela works as a policy maker in the Physical Activity and Health Programme at the Ministry of Health, Argentina where she designs policies to promote physical activity at the national level in favour of healthy behaviours in different environments and populations. Gabriela is interested in better understanding regional needs to create public policies to promote physical activity adapted to the context. Gabriela is the supervisor for the Argentinian team in the AHKGA and was involved especially in the Government indicator for Global Matrix 4.0. In her free time, Gabriela loves training with my family, dancing and spending time in outside physical activities.
