AHKGA at ISPAH Congress 2024 – Symposium Highlights

On October 29, 2024,  the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance held a Symposium titled “Striving for global equity in physical activity: insights from the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance” at the International Society for Physical Activity and Health Congress 2024 (Paris, France).

Chaired by Dr. Salomé Aubert, the symposium delved into the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance’s pioneering role in advancing global surveillance and promoting physical activity among children and adolescents, integrating principles of justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability into both current and future initiatives. The symposium included the following three presentations and a Q&A session. Presentation slides are available in the member’s area.

  • Presentation 1: “Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance Global Matrix: History, Activities, and Impact” by Dr. Mark Tremblay.
  • Presentation 2: “Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance’s drive to promote equity, diversity, inclusion in opportunities for child physical activity: where we are and where we are going” by Dr. Taru Manyanga.
  • Presentation 3 “Physical Activity Report Card Indicators and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Insights from Global Matrix 4.0” by Dr. Diego Silva.
