16 Dec Children’s Alliance Report “Physical health of children and young people”
On December 15th, Children’s Alliance announced the launch of the report titled “Physical health of children and young people”. This is the second of four reports created for the Children’s Alliance on the current state of children’s health and wellbeing in the United Kingdom. It is focused on physical health and provides recommendations for actions by the Government to improve the health and wellbeing of children and youth.
“Without effective co-ordinated measures led by Government, we run the risk that the next generation of UK adults will be the least healthy in living memory.”
Baroness Frances D’Souza, Honorary President, Children’s Alliance
The full report is available at: https://childrensalliance.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Physical-Health-of-Children-and-Young-People-Report-Dec2021.pdf. Of note, under the lifelong physical activity of the report, it is recommended that the UK Government and devolved nations support and resource membership of the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance (recommendation 3.5).
